It allows volume control via the excellent Heos app for your phone. Through Heos, you can easily choose between different listening sources and monitor the progress of your multi-room system. Sources include a huge selection of free internet radio, reading files from your server (NAS, dlna) or listening via streaming services, Tidal, Deezer, Qubos, Spotify, etc.
Everything will sound great, as digital sources are converted by an excellent DA converter with 24 bits and 192 kHz audio sampling.

Predamplifier or predexerciser?
You can use it as a classic network predcontent trainer on your amplifier or in p moderedamplifier. For this purpose, it has an analog output for the subwoofer and predamplifier circuit and can be connected to active speakers or a power amplifier. In the case of predamplifier, you will control the volume through it directly or via the Heos app.
You can also use it as a DA converter, as it has a digital optical input.
Airplay or Bluetooth?
For the best quality streaming, you will of course needredpracticed with a network connection, but the device also allows for a wireless connection via Bluetooth technology. Although this lags behind direct streaming in quality, it is still useful for faster transfer of sources such as the popular YouTube.
Apple device owners will be much happier with the newredAirplay 2 system support, which transfers audio over a local network in higher quality with the press of a button.
Multi-room sound
If you own multiple Heos devices and have them in multiple rooms, you can enjoy an overview of all of them via a single app. The system allows you to connect multiple different rooms/spaces. Enjoy different sound sources in each room or combine individual or all rooms into one. The sound volume can be different in each room.

The app is completely free. It supports Android and iOS. Enjoy a clear selection of listening sources, volume control and an overview of your audio zones (in case you have Heos devices in multiple rooms).
