Speaker Monitor Audio Gold The 300 is the pinnacle of the company's offering Monitor AudioIts large enclosure houses a 2½” (64 mm) driver withredC-CAM tone control with MPD high-frequency transducer on top and a pair of 8″ (203 mm) RDT II woofers on the bottom, in a true three-way configuration. Gold The 300 is the ideal speaker for larger rooms, featuring a pair of rear-facing HiVe II ports that provide smooth airflow and generous bass boost. MPD high frequency converter
The MPD high-frequency transducer, with an area six times larger than a conventional 1” (25 mm) gold dome high-frequency tweeter, greatly improves power handling and reduces distortion. High frequencies are delivered with complete realism and finesse. The drivers withredNewton units C-CAM Specially developed driver withredThe 64mm Newtonian units with a die-cast aluminium housing contain a powerful magnet system with a 35mm voice coil driving a very low mass ceramic-magnesium coated (C-CAM) diaphragm. The C-CAM driver cones boast significantly higher resistance to bending loads and therefore demonstrate much greater accuracy throughout the operating range.

Isolating the MPD high-frequency transducer and C-CAM driver from the rest of the enclosure also reduces coloration, resulting in a cleaner, purer, and more realistic sound.
